This will make the West Guangdong port group an important gateway to the major southwestern regions and the “China-ASEAN Free Trade Area”.
Civil aviation development accelerated synchronously. Guangdong will strengthen the functions of the major airport hubs, accelerate the construction of the airport passenger and cargo collection and transportation system, and comprehensively improve the province's airport service support capabilities. By 2020, the province's civilian transport airport passenger throughput will exceed 140 million passengers, cargo and mail handling capacity of 6.1 million tons, more than 210 international routes.
